Total amount of water is 14 1//2 gallons:

    14 1/2 = 29/2

To find how many 11/4 gallon buckets fit in a 29/2 gallons water tank:

    29/2 : 11/4

    which is also equal to:

    29/2 * 4/11

    Multiply numerators: 29 * 4 = 116

    Multiply denominators: 2 * 11 = 22

    Number of buckets = 116 / 22 or 5 6/22 gallons

If option is in decimal, it is: 5.2727 gallons
