There is a gap of 1 metre you put a table into gap. The table is 70 centimetres wide. How much space is left?

    100cm=1m

    70cm = x

    You cross multiply

    100x=70

    Divide both sides by 100

    .:x=7/10 m or 0.7m

    1m-0.7m=0.3m
