A triangular prism is 14.3 millimeters long. It has a triangular face with a height of 12 millimeters. The volume of the prism is 1,123.98 cubic millimeters. What is the base of its triangular face?

    Answer: The base of the triangle is about 13.1 mm.

    The formula for the volume of the prism is below. All we have to do is input the values we know and solve for the missing B.

    Volume = BH/2 (Length)

    1123.98 = (12B/2) x (14.3)

    78.6 = 12B/2
