Andrea was given the following equation to solve, 5x - 2 = 2x + 7, she decided to combine the 5x and 2x on the left side, leaving her with 7x - 2 = 7, explain to andrea the minor error she made by combining 5x and 2x to make 7x in this situation.

    When she decided to combine the 5x and 2x she would have been subtracting the 2x leaving her with 3x-2=7which is 3x=9, x=3
