A tank is to be filled with water. When the tank is one-sixth full, 130 gallons of water are added, making the tank three-fifths full. How many gallons does the tank contain when it is completely full?

    The amount added, 130 gallons is the difference

    = 3/5 - 1/6

    = 18/30 - 5/30

    = 13/30

    multiply by 10/10

    = 130/300 gallons

    300 gallons when full
