Answer: The surface area inside and out of the shape is 109.2 square meters.

To find the surface area, we need to add up all 5 sides. The 2 bases are 10.8. The 3 rectangular sides are 5 x 2.2 = 11.

    So we have: 2 (10.8) + 3 (11) = 54.6.

However, don't forget the problem said inside and out, so we have to multiply 54.6 by 2 to get 109.2 square meters.
