    Let x the first number

    x+1 the second

    and x+2 the third

    twice the middle 2 (x+1)

    two more than the third 2 + (x+2)

    2 (x+1) - 3 = 2 + (x+2)

    2x + 2 - 3 = 2+x+2

    x = 5 the second 6 the third 7
