    Descent = 10 feet

    Time required = 2 1/2 minutes.

    The rate of descent = (10 feet) / (2.5 mn) = 4 ft/min

    In 6 minutes, the descent will be

    (4 ft/min) * (6 min) = 24 ft

    Answer:

    (a) 4 feet/minute

    (b) 24 feet
