What is the product of 7.5 and 1,000?

    You could put into a calculator OR

    a handy trick with 10's (10, 100, 1000, etc.) is that you take the number of 0's in the number and move the decimal to the right that many times!

    7.5 x 1000 = 7,500

    (as there are 3 zeros in 1000, you move the decimal to the right by 3)
