An oil well produces 172 gallons of oil everyday. A standard oil barrel holds 42 gallons of oil. About how many barrels of oil will the well produce in one day? Explain your thinking.

    So a well produced 172 gallons and each barrel can hold 42 so 172/42 = 4.09 so it would fill 4 full barrels with a bit of excess
