The total perimeter is 3x + 21 = ? first we isolate the variable by subtracting 21 on both sides. we then get 3x=21 now we divide by three on both sides and we find that x=7 to check this plug this in to x+9 x+10 and x + 2 and see if x+10 is the hypotenuse.
