Jane says that she can use addition to show that the graph of 2x-3y=1 and 2x+3y=2 are intersecting lines. In two or more complete sentences, describe the process of using addition to show that the lines are intersecting

    2x-3y=1

    +2x+3y=2

    4x=3 substitute 3/4 for x in the first equation ... you get y=2/9.

    x=3/4
