Use linear combination method to solve the system of equations. explain each step of your solition. ypu must show all work to revieve dull credit!

2x - 3y = 13

x + 2y = - 4

    2x-3y=13 equation (1)

    x+2y=-4 equation (2)

    multiply equation (2) by - 2

    -2x-4y=8 now we got equation (3)

    Add equations (1) and (3) and combine like terms

    2x-2x-3y-4y=13+8

    -7y=21

    y=-21/7 = - 3

    substitute y with - 3 in equation (2) and solve

    x+2 (-3) = - 4

    x-6=-4

    x = - 4+6

    x=2

    the solution for the system of equations is x=2, y = - 3
