Solve the inequality. x^2 + 1 > 8x-6

    Rewrite as x2 - 8x + 7 > 0

    so, (x-7) (x-1) >0

    clearly the product would be >0 either when both are + ve or when both are - ve

    both positive⇒x>7

    both negative⇒x<1

    so, "x7" is the answer
