    9 minutes = 540 seconds

    9 minutes 1.59 seconds = 541.59 seconds

    velocity = distance / time

    velocity = 3,000 / 541.59

    velocity = 5.5392455548 meters per second

    velocity = 5.54 meters per second (rounded)
