A person on the top of a tall building looks through his binoculars at his friend that is 300 ft away from the building on the ground. if the angle of depression from the person on the building is 30°, how far are the two people away from one another? round your answer to the nearest foot.

    In this instance the distance will be the hypotenuse of a right angle triangle.

    x = 300/sin30 = 600

    They are 600 ft away from each other
