    First change f (x) to y

    y = 2/3x-6

    Switch the y’s and x’s

    x = 2/3y-6

    Now get y by itself. Add 6 to both sides.

    x+6 = 2/3y

    Divide each side by 2/3

    3/2x+9 = y

    Change y to f^-1 (x)

    f^-1 (x) = 3/2x+9 is the inverse.
