1) what is the answer to 5 (3x-2y) + 2 (x+2y) - 3 (3x-2y) ?

a = 8x-12y

b = 8x

c = 8x-8y

d = 8xy

2) what is the answer to 2x-3+3x-5?

a = - x-8

b = 5x-8

c=-x+2

d = 5x+2

    So, using the distributive property, we can:

    5 * 3x - 2y * 5 + 2x + 2 * 2y - 3 * 3x - 3 * 2y

    or

    15x - 10y + 2x + 4y - 9x - 6y

    Now just combine like terms

    8x - 12y

    So for #1 it should be a.

    #2: 2x - 3 + 3x - 5

    Combine Like Terms:

    2x + 3x - 3 - 5

    5x - 8

    So it should be b.
