    Well you could factor out the 2 in the equation

    6=3*2

    10=5*2

    4=2*2

    so

    6x^2-10x+4=2 (3x^2-5x+2) so

    factor 3x^2-5x+2 and get

    (x-1) (3x-2) = 0

    so xy=0 then x and/or y=0 so

    x-1=0

    x=1

    3x-2=0

    3x=2

    x=2/3

    x=1 or 2/3
