    458 pennies have a value of $4.58.

This can be changed to the combination of

    ... 4 dollars

    ... 2 quarters

    ... 1 nickel

    ... 3 pennies

If you get dollar coins, you will have a total of 10 coins. If you get dollar bills, you will have 4 bills and 6 coins.

    ___

On special request, you can ask for one or two $2 bills, thus you could have

... 2 * $2 bills + above 6 coins (the minimum number of money items)

    or

    ... 1 * $2 bill + 2 * $1 bills + above coins
