    x² - 3x = - 8,

    x²-3x+8=0, a=1, b=-3, c=8

    x1 = (-b + √ (b²-4ac)) / 2a, x2 = (-b-√ (b²-4ac)) / 2a,

    x1 = (--3+√ (9-4*1*8)) / 2*1 = (3+√ (-23)) / 2 = (3+i√23) / 2

    b. x equals quantity of 3 plus or minus I square root of 23 all over 2
