An individual swims 85.4 yards in five minutes, how many meters will he/she swim in 70.0 seconds?

    = 17.08 in a minute

    then 17.08/60 = 0.28 yars per second

    so 0.28*70 = 19.9 yards in 70 seconds

    =18.2 meters

    or

    85.4 yards = 78 meters 5 mins

    so 5*60=300 seconds

    78/300

    = 0.26 meters per second

    in 70 seconds, he/she will swim 70*0.26

    = 18.2meters
