If you have two equations, you will multiply one of them so it cancels out the other one. For Example, 2x-y=16 3x-y=28You will multiply the second equation by - 1 which brings us to 2x-y=16 - 3x+y=-28you will add both equations together which will leave you with-x=-12x=12Then, you plug that in. 2x12=24. 24-16=8. 3x12=36 36-8=28 And, You're done!
