    The equation for Company A: c =.90m where c = cost and m = miles driven

    The equation for Company B: c =.40m + 65 where c = cost & m = miles driven

    Setup:

    Company A > Company B

    .90m >.40m + 65

.50m > 65 Subtracted. 40m from both sides of inequality

m > 130 Divided both sides of inequality by. 50

Company A will charge more than Company B after 130 miles.
