    The truck can cover 145 miles in 2.5 hours, so the speed of the truck is

    145:2.5=58 miles per hour

    the car's speed is 1.5 times faster: 58*1.5=87 miles per hour

    suppose in x hours they will meet:

    distance covered by truck in x hour: 58x

    distance covered by car in x hour: 87x

    total distance: 145 miles

    58x+87x=145

    x=1
