    We determine first the rate of flow of water out of the bottle by dividing the difference in the volume with the difference in time.

    r = (28 - 20) / (6 - 2)

    r = 2 ounce/s

    We calculate the first term by adding 2 ounce/s to the 2nd term, giving us the answer which is equal to 30 ounce/second.
