Speed is calculated by dividing distance by time. The formula to calculate speed is D/T. Here the distance or D is 160 cm and time or T is 5. 74 seconds. Speed therefore = 160 cm / 5.74 sec = 27.87 cm per second. Since distance was in cm and time was in seconds, the answer will be in cm per second.
