Missy bought 4 umbrellas and 7 hats $46.00. Each umbrella cost the same amount. Each has Costs the same amount. The price of an umbrella cost $8.00. What is the cost of one hat?

    Let x represent the cost for a hat

    4 x 8 + 7 * x = 46

    32 + 7x = 46

    7x = 46 - 32

    x = 14/7

    x = 2

    The cost for one hat is $2.00
