    We have the equations:

    2x-y = 10, x = y + 5

    To solve the system we substitute x = y + 5 in the first equation and it remains:

    2 (y + 5) - y = 10

    2y + 10 - y = 10.

    y = 0

    Then we substitute y = 0 in any of the two equations to find x

    Finally we have left that x = 5
