Paul and Dave are trading baseball cards. Dave is offering Paul a chance to pick one card at random from his collection of rare and expensive cards. Dave's cards include 5 pitchers, 2 catchers, 3 first baseman, and 2 outfielders. What is the probability that Paul will pick either a catcher card or a first baseman card?

    First add up all the cards together. 5+2+3+2 = 12 Then add the number of catchers and first basemen together 3+2 = 5 That gives 5/12. The probability is 5/12

    Paul will most likely pick the first basemen card because there are more chances because there is more first basemen than catchers
