    The first thing to do is find the rectangular warehouse area.

    We have then:

    A = (12) * (18) = 216

    A = 216 m ^ 2

    We now look for the area of each acoustic tile square:

    A ' = (1) ^ 2 = 1

    A ' = 1 m ^ 2

    We look for acoustic tile squares number:

    N = (A) / (A ')

    N = (216) / (1)

    N = 216

    Finally we look for the total weight:

    W = (1/4) * (216)

    W = 54 Kg

    Answer:

    The total weight of the tile required to cover the ceiling is:

    W = 54 Kg
