    Say

    f (x) = x

    g (x) = |x|-2

    Then, if we evaluate f (x) in g (x) ... > g (f (x)) = (g •f) (x)

    We get g (f (x)) = (g•f) (x) = |f (x) |-2 = |x|-2

Now, if we evaluate in x = a

    (g•f) (a) = |a|-2
