    Answer: 28 pencils and 2 pens

    You spend $11.

    pencils for $0.25 each.

    pens for $2 each

    total of 30 pencils and pens

    Pencils = 28*$0.25=$7

    Left = $11.00 - 7 = $ 4.00

    Pens = 2 x $2 = $4

    $4 + $7 = $11

    2+28=30
