If the circle (x - 5) 2 + (y - 3) 2 = 6 is translated 4 units to the left and 1 unit up, what is the center of the circle?

    The original center is at (5,3)

    4 units to the left means 5 + (-4) = 1

    1 unit up means 3+1=4

    so the new center is at (1,4)

    the equation become (x-1) ^2 + (y-4) ^2 = 6
