The city highway department bought 3/4 tons of salt to put on roads when it snows. They have used 2/7 of the salt. How many tons has the city highway department used? Put your answer in lowest terms.

    3/4 * 2/7 = 2*3 / 4*7 = 6/28 = 3/14 Answer
