You lose one quarter, two dimes, and two nickels. Write the amount as a decimal.

    1 quarter = 0.25

    2 dimes = 2 (0.10) = 0.20

    2 nickels = 2 (0.05) = 0.10

    for a total of : 0.25 + 0.20 + 0.10 = 0.55 ... so u have lost 0.55
