    3x-3=x-4

    Add 4 to both sides

    3x+1=x

    Subtract 3x from both sides

    1=-2x

    Divide both sides by - 2

    x=-1/2

    Remmeber, you can do anything to an equation as long as you do it to both sides

    3x-3=x-4

    get placeholder to one side

    minus x from both sides

    3x-x-3=x-x-4

    2x-3=0-4

    2x-3=-4

    add 3 to both sides

    2x+3-3=3-4

    2x+0=-1

    2x=-1

    divide both sides by 2

    x=-1/2
