Solve - 2 + x > 10 using the properties of inequalities.

    Using the properties of inequalities:

    Subtract - 2 from each side of the inequality - 2 + x > 10

    Remember - 2 - - 2 becomes - 2 + 2 = 0 - - 2 + x > - - 2

    10 - - 2 becomes 10 + 2 = 12 0 + x > 12

    So the final solution would be x > 12.

    Therefore x would have to be all numbers greater than 12.
