    2. Therefore, keeping on mind the information above, you have:

    x: the shortest side

    x+6: the longest side

    2x + (x+6) = 248

    3x+6=248

    3x=242

    x=242/3

    x=80.66 (The shortest side)

    x+6=80.66+6=86.66 (The longest side)

    The answer is: 86.66
