A bird of species a when diving can travel five times as fast as a bird of species b top speed if the total speeds for these two birds is 216 miles per an hour find the fastest speed of the bird of species a and the fastest speed of the bird of species B

    216 = x + y

    y = 5x

    216 = 6x

    36 = x

    y = 5 (36)

    y = 180

    Species A can travel at a top speed of 180

    Species B can travel at a top speed of 36
