Could - 2be used as a base to rewrite 32? 64? why or why not

    32. No because (-2) ^5 = - 32. The exponent is odd so the negative sign does not cancel out.

    64. Yes because (-2) ^6=64. The exponent is positive so the negative sign in - 2 is cancelled out through multiplication.
