Hey can someone give me an example of a linear and a quadratic equation?

    The only difference is the degree

    a linear equation is 1st degree, that is, the highest exponent for the placeholder is 1

    examples: y=3x+2 or y=x

    a quadratic equation is 2nd degree, that is, the highest exponent for the placeholder is 2

    examples: y=x²+2, or y=x²-2x+3
