    X * (x + 3) = 15

    x^2 + 3x - 15 = 0

    x = - 3 + - sqrt (9 - 4*1*-15) / (2*1)

    x = - 3 + - sqrt (69) / 2

    x = - 3 + - 8.3066 / 2

    x = 5.3066/2

    x = 2.6533

    So, the rectangle is 2.6533 inches by 5.6533 inches.

    and Merry Christmas!
