A garden table and a bench cost $680 combined. The garden table costs $70 less than the bench. What is the cost of the bench

    2x+70 = both items (680)

    The bench equals 70$ less then the garden table

    So, since the table costs $70 less then the bench, you do 680-70=610

    Then, once you have that answer, you divide it by 2 (the to x at the beginning of the equation)

    305+70 = 375 which is the cost of the bench

    Double Check: 375+305 = 680
