    Y = 1/3x - 2 ... slope here is 1/3. A parallel line will have the same slope.

    y = mx + b

    slope (m) = 1/3

    (-5,-4) ... x = - 5 and y = - 4

    now sub and find b, the y int

    -4 = 1/3 (-5) + b

    -4 = - 5/3 + b

    -4 + 5/3 = b

    -12/3 + 5/3 = b

    - 7/3 = b

    so ur line is : y = 1/3x - 7/3 <==
