This student council set a goal of raising at least $500 in a flower sale, it has raised $415. How many more dollars does the student council need to raise to reach its goal

    Currently, they've raised 415 and need to raise 500. This means the amount in between these two amounts is the amount left to raise. This is known as a difference (because its how different they are from each other) and is found by subtraction. 500 - 415 = 85.
