    The horizontal distance will be given by the trigonometry formula:

    tan theta=opposite / adjacent

    theta=4

    opposite=height=183 ft

    horizontal=adjacent=a

    thus

    tan 4=183/a

    hence

    a=183/tan 4

    a=2617.02 ft
