A given distribution has a mean of 50. a score of 43 has a corresponding z-score of l. 94. what is the standard deviation (to the nearest hundredth) ?

    z = x-u / sd

    u = mean = 50

    x = score = 43

    z = 1.94

    so

    1.94 = 43-50 / sd

    1.94 = - 7sd

    so 1 sd = 1.94 / - 7 = - 3.6
