A brick walkway forms the diagonal of a square playground. The walkway is 20 m long. To the nearest tenth of a meter, how long is one side of the playground?

    diagonal² = side² + side²

    diagonal² = 2 * side²

    (24) ² = 2 * (side) ²

    (side) ² = 24 * 24 / 2 = 288

    side = √288 = 16.97 m
