Y=x-6 3x + 2y=8 use the substitution method how to solve?

    Substituting y=x-6 into the equation,

    3x + 2 (x-6) = 3x + 2x - 12 = 5x - 12

    5x - 12 = 8

    5x = 20

    x = 4
